UNICEF's Children's Emergency Fund
About us:
Hi everybody! I am Zenda from Hong Kong, a final year student studying at Cardiff University, and I wish to do a meaningful job to the world before graduate from school.
My partner is Dahon Cadenza, which is a folding bike. We will do camping wherever possible, and our main fuel will be water, bread and bananas. She is well-equipped, so am I! We have gained some experiences in long-riding and wild-camping in the past, so we should be able to complete the task without big-problem.
Where to go?
Our mission start off at John o’ Groats, the northeastern of Scotland; and my final destination is Lands’s End, the extreme southwestward of England, which this is a well-known route called JOGLE(or LEJOG). The route is roughly checked, while I will plan my own every night before the day, and the total mileage should be around 1000miles(1600km). We are aiming to finish the whole trip within 14 days.
Are you ready?
Every train & coach tickets from Cardiff to Thurso are already booked in advance at the cheapest price, also, all my cycling & camping gears are checked and ready to meet the challenge!
About the Fundraise:
Children's smiles are our most valuable reward, do you agree?
Our target is to raise over £800 for the UNICEF's Children's Emergency Fund, which focus on the needs of children in times of disaster, whether this is for child protection, clothing or education. Oh, you may also think of every £1 you donated, is to generate 2km of my pedal power!
*All spending of my journey will be paid by myself, therefore 100% of your donation will be collected directly by the trusted Unicef website.
Please note, donation by debit/credit card is recommended, as I am not sure if 3rd-party organisations will collect any handling fee from your transactions.
Remember, every little helps! Many thanks for helping the children around the world!! :)
